Fall is Finally Here!

The dreadful summer season is finally passing and lovely fall weather is gracing Korea with its breezy beauty. I love fall! Especially fall clothing. A new season means a new wardrobe in a country with distinct seasons, so I am doing as the Koreans do and shopping.

Since my last post, I have been eating. Hahaha it's true. I was going to complete that sentence with a list of stuff I've been doing, and then I realized that I've just been doing the same old stuff, and eating nonstop. What happened to my willpower!? I have gained 4 pounds in about 2 weeks. That is going to probably take me 2 months to take off... T.T

But I don't regret any of the food I ate though! It was all so good! So worth it! Maybe I shouldn't have ate so much of it, but what can I do about it now! I'm in a foreign country! It's okay~

Anyway, picture time!! There's gonna be TONS because I took a bunch from my friends, who are always taking pictures, while I say "ah, I'll get them from you later." Lately I have been getting super tight with Dianne, Glory, and Ray. I want more native friends, but I seriously love our little foursome too. ^0^

Me and Dianne with our native friends, the engineering guys from before:

Dianne and Sam have the same birthday. It was on Monday, so we celebrated all weekend. Saturday, we went to eat samgyupsal and then to my favorite bar, Luna, with all the EAP folks:

Me, Dianne, and Glo = best friends!

And then Ray completes the crew. ^0^

Sunday night, we had a semi-surprise party at midnight. It's "semi" because we failed miserably at being sneaky and they were very not surprised.

Ray hiding to surprise Dianne:

Then Sam comes later!

Digging into the DELICIOUS sweet potato cake. I'm so greedy!

Monday night at Itaewon, the foreigners' neighborhood. Felt like we were back in LA! In a shady part of downtown LA... But we found a cute Thai restaurant that didn't taste good :)

We came back home to find that some of the girls who hadn't gone out with us prepared a bunch of goodies to surprise us! (3rd night in a row to eat cake/dessert at midnight. LOL! I love birthdays!)

EAP day trip to some palace to listen to some performers playing some traditional Korean music and some traditional Korean instruments. It was hella boring and didn't sound pleasing to the ear at all!

We can't have a group outing without a jumping shot!

We went to a really cute waffle house afterwards for brunch, and then walked around the surrounding neighborhood (Samchungdong), which is a very artsy place with lots of really cute cafes, museums and art galleries.

Some night we went to a bar and clubbing in Hongdae area. It was the last night for one of our friends from summer who was going back to the States, hence the JD. So actually these are old pictures. We haven't gone clubbing in like 2 weeks now.

Wannabe thugs:

Ray's so mean! Covering Paul's whole face haha

Some really old pictures from the Yon-Go-Jun Festival a month ago:

If you smack these things together they make loud clapping noises:

Me, Dianne, and our engineering boys. Haha.

Some other night at the beginning of the semester when we all went out for samgyupsal:

When the 3 had interviews to go to, like a month ago. They look so hot!

Okay, more recent stuff now.
The other day, I went fall shopping at Dongdaemun with Ray, Dianne, and Glo. Then the 3 girls went to get our eyelashes done in Gangnam :) We met up with Ray again after to grab dinner and dessert in the area. We had live squid!
FOB:

Korean dramas:

We so happy:

Went to a cafe/bakery called Paris Croissant at 11 and pigged out on delicious pastries.

Glo becomes paparazzi:

Fatties 4 Lyfe:

Finally heading home, freezing but stuffed and content :)

The next night, hanging out in Hongdae. Glo playing a game in the street where you throw a ball and try to knock over the can things. It's rigged, I tell ya! Nobody can win!

But she got a bear for trying:

Then we had soondae for dinner:

Went to a hookah/wine bar in the area after! It was such a cool place.

Cool! Ray could fill the wine glass with his smoke:

Another night, dinner in Shinchon.

Then we went to a cafe called Zephyr Beans for dessert!
The cool graffiti on the wall:

And Glo's artwork:

Hello heart attack, aka Waffle Ice Cream:

You can see the sugar falling!

We also went to this rifle game place where you shoot bullets at targets and win a prize according to how many points you rack up. Glo's good so she won a pillow, but me and Dianne got dinky, tacky, cell phone accessories.
Me modeling the booty:

And then Cafe Pascucci to "just chill" but of course we get cheesecake and ice cream there too -.-

So I'm tutoring this little 1st grader girl now, every Monday and Wednesday from 5-7. Money money!
Whew, that took me 3 straight hours. Blogger sucks cuz you can only upload 5 pictures at a time, individually...
